As opposition to their marriage grows, Nancy is caught up in a whirlwind of royal intrigue, political conflict, espionage and attempted murder. Even the love of her husband, Bhaiya, may not be enough to save her, especially following the theft of an ancient royal jewel that symbolizes his power and the throne itself.

Based on a true story that rocked Hollywood and shocked India, the novel follows the journey of a young American woman into an ageless land as it collides with the modern era.
